This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

But you'd kill me if you had to. [this is not a question, it's a statement and he doesn't seem bothered by it in the least, he knows he can somewhat defend himself. Would he kill if need be, maybe. Probably. If he really had to.]

[She nods.] If I needed to. I'd expect the same of anyone else.

Not everyone thinks like that, I didn't always. It's weird thinking about killing people, I'd rather not do it if I don't have to.

[She shrugs, tilting her head the right.] I guess. But sometimes there's no other way. Kill or be killed, that kinda shit.

I like to believe that there are always other options.

Maybe but they ain't always simple.

[he gives her this look that basically says you're speaking from experience, aren't you, which means he's also thinking the exact same thing]

Sometimes you just need to survive, yeah?

[She side glaces at him before giving a nod.]

Yeah, anything to survive.

[halfhearted smile]

Hopefully things will be easier here.

You think correctly. Plus school work, it blows. And teachers.

Must be difficult being surrounded by people like me. [he nods wisely] I don't mind school work or teachers though.

[schools and students on the other hand.... let's just say he's thinking about how he was bullied in the past]

[Vriska never did school before her arrival at the Institute so it's been a change for her.]

Lucky you.

School isn't too bad if you don't stand out for the wrong reasons.

[She shrugs.] I've been here five years, I don't worry much about standing out in the wrong way.
