This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.
Re: Arcee || Transformers Prime
Never mind that she's working at the moment. He's just happy to see her again even if he looks like a deer caught in the headlights.]
Arcee?

[She slowly cracks an eye open before she's gaping back at him. After a moment she gives an amused snort and nods.]
Lee. I heard you were here.
no subject
[He kneels down so she didn't have to strain further. Lee didn't forget too many people unless they were just passing through.]
You remember me. That's good or bad depending on what you remember. I wasn't sure I was ever going to see you again. It's been twenty years.
no subject
Yeah well, kind of hard to forget the white haired charmer. As much as I've tried. [She gives him a narrowed eye look before stretching.] Has it been twenty years? Time certainly seems to fly.
no subject
[He can't help but chuckle softly at her words.]
Yes, it has. If you need some help adjusting, I can assist, unless you prefer someone else.
no subject
Oh? I stuck in your head then. Good. [There's there the barest hint of a smirk on her lips. But it gets wiped away quickly. Always business with this one.]
Help? And how do you think you'll be able to help me adjust?
no subject
Well, for starters, a lot has transpired in twenty years. Politically, we are in the midst of an issue due to the rise of the Brotherhood. Organizations such as AIM and HYDRA have decided to go into hiding.
My last mission before you disappeared required me to gather some intel on a new rising of the Purification Movement. Needless to say, ever since it appears that our mutations are not the only thing we should worry about when cyborgs and androids are coming into the picture.
I feared that it was my technology that was being used and thankfully, that was not the case. A man named Reverend Stryker has begun his plan. I do not know at this time what that may be but the Brotherhood is taking the fall for the latest escaped.
no subject
I have been awake for a year now. None of that is exactly new.
My biggest problem is the advances in technology. The way people act today. Society has changed so much... [Her brow furrows as she talks, shaking her head before dropping her gaze to the ground.] Then of course, there's the fact that everyone thought I was dead. I can't exactly show up on a friend or family member's doorstep.
no subject
[That comment hit too close to home that he cared to explain.]
While it is true that advances have taken huge strides, I believe that once the simplest is grasped, the rest shall come to you.
Society is just, well, the young certainly are smarter than when we were teachers back then. The internet has made most socially deviant.
no subject
[She looks at him against and snorts.] Great. I get to deal with children that not only think they're smarter than me but are.
[And then there's a little laugh as she leans her head back against the tree.] Oh who am I kidding? Me? A teacher? I'm a fighter, I'm no teacher.
no subject
It's how we used to think as children that adults never understood us. In our case, that was most certainly true in regards to our mutations. With that said, I think you'll do just fine.
no subject
I don't even know what I'm supposed to be doing here. It's seems the school is fairly set on combat instructors. Although I suppose they can't take a beating like I can. [She smirks.]
no subject
True. We were both equally matched but you certainly were the harder hitter.
no subject
Tactile telekinesis has it's advantages. [Bonding through combat became Arcee's way of doing it as well. It wasn't something that started until after she'd been a student for a couple years but once a fight or sparring match was started she couldn't help but enjoy it. It's when she felt most alive and when she felt the other person was being move genuine.]
no subject
That it does and you handle it so well. We shall have to make it a point to return to sparring at some point. I want to see how much you remember.
no subject
Not a bad idea honestly. It's been nearly twenty years since I've done any fighting, I'm probably a little rusty. [Plus punching Lee in the face often made everything feel better.]
no subject
[He's looking forward to this even though he knows he always has the broken nose first. Thank god for regeneration. A snap, a quick headache, and it's done.]
no subject
[She leans in toward him, that special cocky grin reserved only for situations like this on her face.] It's a date.
no subject
Good.
no subject
[She leans back against the tree again before taking her briefcase into her lap and opening it back up.] Well unless you want to help me with this paperwork, I'll see you later.
no subject
The forms are different than before. Yes, I'll stay. What are your questions?
[He pulls out his cellphone and checks a message with a slight scowl then slips it back into his pocket.]
I have time.
no subject
You sure you don't have another date you should be getting ready for? [She tilts her head a bit, raising a brow.]
no subject
[Aside from that, he didn't have many in the school that would understand his way of doing things that have often been misinterpreted.]
no subject
Ah. I didn't have any questions actually. But it would be nice if you could look over what I've done and make sure I didn't miss anything. [She pulls the small stack of papers from her case and holds them out to him.]
no subject
[He reaches out for the forms and turns them so he can read them. He raises one knee to rest the stack in his lap as he reads them with a CEO's precision.
One after the other, he flips the pages over and double checks one line that he thought appears strange but then moves on to the next line, thankful that it's his interpretation that seems a little wonky and not the presented text.]
