you know what I'm sayin'?
This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before applying, and to see if things "click". Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.
Sho Kano | HSDK
Sho lounged out in the grass near the lake outside of the school. This was one of the first times that Sho had any real down time, and honestly it made him a bit anxious. He didn’t know what to do with himself. If his Sensei found out that he was lazing around like this instead of doing something more productive, he knew he’d kill him. So Sho was just hoping that he did not have any sort of monitoring device around to keep an eye on him.
The thought that he could be checked up on at any time might have been enough to make him get up and do something, but he was distracted at the moment. He saw a bird flying just over head and it managed to capture his attention. He held a hand up and the bird descended and landed softly upon one of his fingers.
An Orchard Oriole. He hadn’t encountered one of these birds in person before. “Aren’t you pretty?” He said to the bird as it cocked its head a little.
[Action: Training]
[Sho had grown bored with just sitting around and doing nothing, so he decided to get in a little training. Just because his ability allowed him to pick up martial arts techniques fairly easily didn’t mean that he should slack on practicing. At least, that’s what his sensei told him every day when he made him train for hours.
After a brief stretch, he started to strike the training dummy that he was using. He imagined the dummy as an actual person and each strike against it was a precision one, aimed at a specific spot on the human body.]
