This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before applying, and to see if things "click". Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

Considering this used to just be his family's mansion, one must wonder what they did with all that space before turning it into a school.

His family was quite small. By the time he opened the school, he was living in it all alone.

Hmm, I see. [ It's said in the way of someone interested but not really interested. She'd rather not think about her own family situation. ] It seems I did not do enough homework before my arrival.

I won't hold it against you. Being the history teacher, not knowing the history of the school would make me look bad.

A dreadful stain on your image, no doubt. [ Yukari can't be serious about that. ] Though neglecting the future would be even worse.

Dreadful indeed. I doubt I would be able to show my face. [Robin can't be serious at all]

Understanding the past is the best way to be prepared for the future.

[ It'd be a shame if there wasn't a soul here with a sense of humor. Yukari smiles slyly. ] Unless you are in the business of making fortunes.

If I had such a power, I would be living in a house like this one.

Truly? [ A sidelong glance toward the school. ] One might get lonely in such a spacious mansion.

I would find ways to entertain myself. Besides, I would probably be traveling the world more often then staying at home.

[ With a coy smile. ] I am sure many would enjoy entertaining you, with those assets. [ That is either talking about her hypothetical riches or her figure. Yukari's eyes do not leave the woman's face in either case, and her words often have split meanings. ]

Though if you were rarely around then it would truly be a waste.

[She coyly smiles back.] I'm sure they would. They question is if they could entertain me.

Exploring the world, making new discoveries, and learning more about our past is to fascinating to give up, even if i was rich. Being stuck in 1 place for too long would become dull.

Hmm, indeed...[ Yukari is strongly approving of her idea to come to this school more and more as the conversation progresses. ]

Yet you locked yourself in to the restrictive schedule of a teacher. [ So there is some questioning of the woman's life choices, there. ]

I came because the professor asked me to. Besides, I plan to have field trips to some of those places.

To faraway places? By boat or by plane, I presume. [ Too much work. ]

That is how I normally travel.

It sounds like an awful lot of effort.

It's worth it. There isn't any faster ways to travel, but I can enjoy a good book while I am on the way to my destination.

[ That smile veils her dishonesty. ] I suppose that you are correct. I know of no faster ordinary means of transport for such an occasion.

[Robin sees the smile, but doesn't question it. perhaps Yukari is just teasing. She'll find out if she knows of a way in due time she figures.]

The Professor has a jet that is faster then any normal plane, and I plane to use that as much as possible.
