This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

She did the same with another ball as she stood and began to make her way down the bleachers. "The aim is always the hardest part." She squinted over at the far hoop and attempted to send one of the balls through it without actually guiding it through the hoop.
She missed by at least a foot.

Why would anyone even try to sleep in the gym? It was a place that was bound to get noisy or crowded or both. She'd seen people having naps on the roof, or in the nearby woods, and she could at least see some sense in that. Her mind was having difficulty trying to compute this one.
She would have apologized for disturbing the girl, but she watched with interest as her powers were displayed. Sure, she missed by quite a margin, but that was still impressive, in Sango's mind.
"Oh, you're telekinetic? That's always seemed like such a useful power, to me."

She squinted across the court and sent the ball flying again. This time it hit the backboard and bounced to the ground, causing her to scowl.
"It's pretty useful. What's your power?"

"Nothing flashy, honestly. Enhanced strength and endurance. Bit of an accelerated healing factor."
She'd never been one to wish that her power was something more visually impressive. Her ability could get the job done. What more did she need than that?

"Definitely useful." Sure she could, seemingly, increase her strength and endurance but it's wasn't something natural. "Always wished I had healing. Can't tell you how many times that would have come in handy."

Her look softened into something more thoughtful at those words. For an advanced healing factor to be considered so handy . . . that had to be rough.
"Pretty dangerous where you came from?"
