This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

"Hm! I don't know if there's anything interesting down there. I mean, the bottoms of lakes are usually just made of mud and plants and stuff, right?"

Idly, Yamame trailed her fingers over the surface of the water as well, not doing more than getting the very tips wet for the time being.

"But you never know! There might be something interesting there if you dig around, like bones and little wiggling things that like to crawl in the mud."

She's quiet for a moment, mulling over the idea. Just cupping her hand and bringing the water up and then dropping it a few times.

A smile crosses her face as she nods along to it. She likes the idea of that and kicks off her shoes and starts into the water.

"I wanna find out! If there is stuff like that down there, I wanna collect it."

Yamame doesn't stop her. In fact, she pulls her hand back and begins to peel off her own socks and shoes as well.

"Okay, but be careful. We don't want you to be sunk to the bottom of the lake, do we?"

She starts to wade in after her, but stops before the water has even reached her knees. A few of the spiders resting on her legs beneath her skirt scramble farther up.

Kisume just laughs as she heads in happily. She makes it as far as her waist before twirling around in the water, looking almost as at home as she was in a small place.

"I'll be careful. Besides, What could sink me?"

Yamame wades in up to her knees before stopping, the hem of her skirt brushing the water.

"You never know! There could be snakes or other things that bite. In any case, it wouldn't be any fun if you slipped and fell in face first."

Yes, I know I'm late to this but is it okay to continue?

Kisume pauses for a moment then shakes her head, "I'll bite them back!"

And she would too, just to prove her point...and probably save it for later. She still preferred her way of getting food! Although she does stop and peer into the depths once more. She dunks herself under the water to try and get a better look and comes up a short moment later, a thoughtful look on her face. She turns back and frowns a bit.

"I dunno about falling..but how deep is this?"

[diseasing]

"Well, it's a lake. Those are pretty deep, aren't they?" She shrugs. "Really, though, I'm just teasing! I wouldn't just let you drown, even if you slipped and hit your head on a rock or something, so there's probably nothing to worry about."

"I dunno. There was that one in the forest that was not very deep..."

She's starting to rethink this idea, if only for the fact she knows she can't go under the water for too long. And if it was really deep...

"If it's deep the bones and stuff will be hard to get. Maybe...One day I can pick all the water up and we can go looking without worry."

She stares at the middle for a moment before heading back to her slowly. She doesn't seem too upset though.

"Thank you. We gotta stick together right?"
