This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

Katja Jordanowa, OC
[Katja was standing near a tree outside the main building. Something was unusual, though - something like a snake was flying around her! Except that it had feathers, which sparkled like gems. And it had a snout, like some sort of lizard. And wings.
The girl giggled, and seemed to pet the creature(?) before looking up and spotting that she was being watched. Suddenly, the miniature serpentine dragon curled up, then charged towards the watcher like a coil spring!]
Oh, hello! I didn't see you there! Don't mind the dragon, he's harmless.
[She forgot to mentiont that it wasn't real. It was just an illusion, based on light: it made no sound, had no smell, nor substance.]

[So... she kind of falls back with a small yelp, throwing her hands up defensively as a brief flash of blue fire erupts uselessly from her fingertips]

Startled you, didn't I?

[Now that her startling was over with, Sumiko could go back to her normal self]
It was startlingly cute.
And startling.

...alright! Here goes!
[There's a sparkle of little light stars that suddenly moves around Sumiko]
The 8000 cute dragons are in your heart now!

I'm sorry for the anti-dragon fire. I didn't know it was anti-dragon.

But it might be hard if they look like they want to have me for breakfast.
