This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

Margot shuffles awkwardly. "It's kinda due tomorrow."

"Wow sucks to be her. And you I guess." She laughed and took a bite from her apple. Truth was she was only laughing because she wasn't sure how else to react. She wasn't really laughing at the other girl's misfortune.

Unfortunately, Margot takes it that way and any sort of guilty look is immediately replaced by a scowl. Something in the near vicinity is dangerously close to catching fire if she doesn't calm down soon. "Yeah, well, it's gonna -- gonna suck to be you in two seconds!"

Though she doesn't have much to back that threat up, she's trying to look intimidating, puffing up to her full height (...4'9'', teeny thing).

"Whooooa whoawhoawhao! Not looking for a fight. Especially not in here."

That's okay, Kenzi is around 5'4", although her heels certainly add a few inches.

Margot calms down, but is still seething. She snorts and a couple of tiny flames shoot out of her nostrils, though she doesn't seem to notice (fire resistance, thank you).

"...Not looking for one either, sorry. Maybe they can just give her an extension or something."

Perhaps the only logical thing she has said or done all day.

Kenzi let out a breath and lowered her hands. She took another bite from her apple before nodding. "Yeah. Don't see why not. I mean accidents happen to homework all the damn time."

"Yeah, yeah... That'll be good. I can't be the only one that's done shit like that before." At least she hopes. Margot slumps, tension leaving her shoulders, and she generally feels a little bit better about the world for right now.

Maybe she won't die tonight after all.

"So, uh... yeah. Sorry I ran into you and all that. I'll be more careful next time."

She smiled and waved a hand in the air. "It's okay. And hey, good luck with the roomie."
