This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.
Never apologize. It's amazing.

Haha, thank you!
and lets just say i have a SUPER active imagination ;) its like illusions except not exactly, 'cause i have to have something to work with and it goes back to normal after a while, but what i imagine can be, like, physically real
its kinda hard 2 explain actually i guess? id show u but i cant do it on my clothes this month, like i said
like ok, last month i was in a fight and some1 threw a knife at my friend and i turned it into a fish. it went back 2 being a knife later, but it was really a fish when it hit her. does that make sense?

Okay, so like, check this out!
[He folds it into a paper airplane, and then it turns into a little tiny real airplane in his hands. He tosses it into the air, and it flies like a real plane, maneuvering around the room until finally taxiing to a stop on his mattress, where it turns back into a simple folded paper.]

Basically? I mean, like, I don't think it's really strict, but it's all kinda about how I imagine stuff being, so if it's too huge, I can't, like... sell myself on it?
