Voice testing - Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World)

[OOC Note: Please note that Rammy is aged down to 17.]

1. [Text]

Whoever thought it was a great idea to draw on my bag when I wasn't looking, screw off. I don't have time for your shit. It took me a good bit to get it off, so whatever you used was fairly potent. Don't mess with it again.

[You may or may not notice a teenager roaming the halls of the school. But act fast; if you catch a glance and turn around, you likely won't notice she's there anymore! If you happen to be outside, you may notice she's getting from one place to another pretty damn fast somehow... but hey, there's always a way to catch up to her and try to get her attention.]

3. [Prose, 3rd person]

It was a normal day of the week for Ramona. Go to class, sit in the back and try to pay attention without seeming like she really cares about it. Most of the classes she wasn't really interested in, and she didn't make a lot of friends. It wasn't like she couldn't, but she needed time to herself. Of course, people constantly approached and tried to converse with her and make friends, or say stupid cliché lines, that sort of thing. It bugged her and she tended to abuse her dimensional traveling abilities to get away from people.

Of course, today she decided she was just going to walk from classes to her dorm. Any number of people could approach her between here and there, but she was too worn out from not getting enough sleep the previous night to use her abilities.

Bother her as she's walking somewhere?

What'd they even draw?
green_eyed: ('djyou say something stupid again?)

[personal profile] green_eyed 2013-01-24 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
... Okay, that's weird. Not an insult, or a statement, or anything with a point? Just a badly drawn animal?
green_eyed: (right so whatever)

What, does it have your pot stash in it, or what?
green_eyed: (fuck right off my bridge)

[personal profile] green_eyed 2013-01-24 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, fuck you, I'm not gonna judge.
green_eyed: (call me a monkey and I will slap you)

[personal profile] green_eyed 2013-01-24 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure sounds like it.
green_eyed: (wanna go tough guy?)

You're still being pretty defensive.

Well... No, I guess not. -Parsee is just not used to dealing with people who react kind of like she does to questions.-

That's right, leave the "mysterious disappearing around corners and trees and signposts" to the professionals, kiddo. A woman with long blond hair in ribbons, a dress that cannot be hidden behind anything narrower than a phone booth, and a parasol of all things, steps out from behind a tree when the girl passes it.

"Are you not in your usual hurry today, young lady?" She wants to try to understand precisely how she had been getting around so quick on other days, and isn't so concerned with why today is an off day.

No stark reaction? Not even a double-take? That's a pity, but the woman doesn't show it. Her expression and tone hang in the balance between the aloof and the amused at all times, and makes no attempt at elegance in deflecting that question with another one.

"Does that mean you are going nowhere, or that you do not expect there to be anything there when you arrive?"

Continuing on her path would only have encouraged Yukari.

(Spoiler: Everything encourages Yukari.)

The woman wags a finger. "I would be careful about inviting excitement into your life. At this school, others often regret the idea before too long." Not that it's a threat, or anything.

understood!

This is amusing, even if Yukari has to spell things out for the girl. "You just might be jinxing yourself." Is it clearer, now?

It doesn't seem like the point is getting across all that clearly. That's a little disappointing, for it isn't a full day until Yukari has managed to subtly infuriate or confuse at least one person, and when they just come off as missing the point or otherwise ignorant it just isn't as much fun.

"Is it not in the nature of humans to be curious?" Implying that either of them were strictly human.
