This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

[Well, Charlie gets Emil responding with a video.]

It was kind of hard, yeah... I guess it sort of helps that I was able to bring Pacha, my cat, along... [Upon hearing her name, the kitten in Emil's lap perks up a little. He smiles and pats her head.

Though, he's been in the states a bit longer than he started attending the school...] Well, if there's a sport or something you like doing, that might help burn off some steam...? There's probably a lot of things you could do to help relax...

[Emil better not be expecting video in return-- but Charlie types quickly enough.]

I didn't know they allowed pets. I don't have any myself... [Though a mental note is made to watch for dogs...]

I don't suppose there's anywhere around here to rent a hang glider?

I'm glad they allow pets, though... There was no way I was going to leave Pacha with my uncle...

He is like a partner to you, non? I once knew someone who had a similar relationship with his dog. And the bite marks to prove it.

I shall have to look into it myself, I suppose. I was using one for training back in France and they are much more common there. [So blunt, so matter-of-fact. Charlie misses that glider, dude B( ]

... Personally, I'd say closer than a partner... [Press if you'd like, Charlie, but Emil doesn't seem to be eager to go on about that particular topic.]

I guess you could ask one of the teachers or something.

I would rather not go to them for assistance. There are many capable adults here, but... [Let's just say Charlie did not make the best of impressions these first few days. Plus, some of the faculty seem a little... well... unique...]

If you do manage to gather any information I would be most appreciative. Further, I invite you to try it for yourself-- it is an experience unlike anything else, I can assure you.

I'll consider the offer. I've never gotten to experience anything like that before for myself. The closest I've gotten is what I can see through birds' eyes...

You can do that? I've never heard of a power like that before...!

Yeah! I can do it with other animals, too... Just... nothing bigger than a cat. But I'll be able to do more if I keep practicing.
