This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

How should I know? You're the one that seems so interested in what I do with my spare time. [And then, just to be kind of a jerk, he adds:] I didn't realize you wanted to spend time with me so badly.

[That's not how you get senpai to notice you, Lancer!]

[Lancer has no words. Instead, he just makes a noise that sounds like a mix between sputtering, choking, and screaming.]

Do you intend to clean up your mess, or do I have to drag you here myself?

[He gives a few sputters before responding.]

I'M COMING, DAMMIT! Just...don't smile like that. Looks gross.

Ah, does it? My apologies. I had no idea you'd react like that to a simple friendly smile.

[He's trying not to laugh, that makes him sound insincere, but... Yep.]

I didn't know you could do friendly.

[It looks out of place on Archer's face. It really does.]

I'm not that one-dimensional. But if it really bothers you that much, I'll be sure to avoid it from now on.

[No matter what Lancer says in reply to that, chances are he'll be digging his own grave.]

What? The friendly or the smiling?

If you're that unsettled by it, why not both?

If I knew what a friendly you acted like, I might be tempted to tell you to keep the friendly.
