This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

One interesting discovery in the cat's rounds would be a small throng of strays that tended to congregate in the early mornings in one corner of the school. They all seem to mill about aimlessly. Or, perhaps, restlessly, as if waiting for something or someone to come by...

There. Those two shallow bowls of cat food were not there two seconds ago, were they? A blink is all it takes to miss how they arrived there, but there might have been the flicker of delicate fingers against a shadowy backdrop in the space against the wall as someone or something set the plates to rest.

It doesn't have to be explained how the mingling cats reacted to such a presentation.

Well what a lovely little congregation of cats. Curious herself, Yoruichi weaves her way into the crowd, following all the proper rules of feline ettiquette. Cats are a bit quicker to lash out at a perceived threat than most humans, and she doesn't want to have to hurt any of them.

Oh. Well, those suddenly appearing bowls must be the reason for this little gathering. Seems that someone here enjoys keeping the strays fed. Good on them.

She trots over to one of the dishes, a sleek little creature that might look slightly less rough than some of the other strays. Have a new kitty that's sniffing at the dish to see if this is one of the good brands.

Why yes she does eat cat food. Imagine that.

The group dynamics are not unknown to Yukari, so her keen eye does take note of the newcomer from her perch some distance away. It is after a moment that a woman's footsteps are heard as she steps out of a dark shadow... a shadow that vanishes the instant she is freed.

She has her violet eyes on that newcomer, veiled by the frills on her fancy umbrella. How interesting...
