This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

He had his bento prepared for him by his housekeeper, Combot was following closely behind. He kept his dog Caesar at home with the housekeeper now since it was pretty clear that he wouldn't be able to keep the dog away from the students as social as the bulldog was.
He picked a place that was close by but not too close to cause any discomfort and sat at the bench. The chilly weather was fitting for his distant behavior as he unpacked his lunch. He glanced at the new janitor.
"They can grate on your nerves after a while."
He used to love to teach but now he can't find it in him to continue without any discomfort and uneasiness between himself and the students. It was almost depressing just being this close. He slid open the box and grimaced.
"I specifically asked for no ham. Nobody listens to simple instructions any more." The technician sighed.

"Mm. Well, I'm not sure it's reasonable to expect any different from teenagers."
Lord knew he had been a piece of work at that age. Idly, he watched as Lee opened up his own bento. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as the other man spoke again.
"Perhaps you'd be more satisfied if you took care of lunch yourself."

His own teen years were filled with confusion and doubt that he didn't know which way was up until he was sent to America for schooling. He was a quiet one most of the time that kept to himself.
"I shouldn't complain." He turned his attention back to his bento.

Whoever this person is, he touched on a very sensitive matter and it was Lee's own fault that he landed himself in that position despite the demotion and even worse, he wasn't about to say why he was put there.
In a dignified manner, Lee stood up from his seat, picked up his box. It was back to work and now he was beginning to feel bitter.
"It was nice speaking with you. Good day." He bowed before he turned and walked away.
