This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.
Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.
[prose 1]
"The couch is for consultations, Yoruichi, not your constant need for naps. Or pretending to nap. Or whatever it is you seem fit to do in my office." Really now.

She yawned elaborately before giving Ukitake an affected pout. "Oh, but couches are multi-purpose, Jyuushirou. And who says I don't do both?"
It wasn't her fault his office had a such a comfy couch.

"At least you haven't raided my candy stash."

"I'm sure you could do a lot worse in the rumour department than people thinking the two of us are up to some extracurricular activities in your office." Shame. She had none. And was that really such a terrible image to the man?
She pretended to look offended when he looked to see if she'd messed with anything. "I tell you, I am shocked that you think I would steal from an ailing old man."
Nevermind Ukitake was operating on precedent, here. It wasn't any fun to acknowledge that.

No she wouldn't. But maybe she'd compromise and only curl up on his couch while she was a cat. As long as she remembered not to revert to human form, everything would be fine.
"My sources tell me that tunafish may just distract potential candy thieves. Might be an idea worth testing, you know." An impish grin here? You bet.

"I guess I could get you a can of albacore every now and again, but it seems a bit silly seeing as you're perfectly capable of getting your own from the store."

Ukitake needed to remember who he was talking to, here. He wasn't the only teacher that got an overload of "admiration" from the students and faculty. It never seemed to stop. And she kept the really bad ones around for laughs.
Yoruichi finally sat up properly and shrugged. "I could also sleep in my own bed and get my own candy. But that's not as much fun."
