This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

By the time Dany had completed her braid the scent had become almost overwhelming. With a quick flick of her wrist she sent the braid over her shoulder and rose from the bench.

It took her a while to track down the source, weaving this way and that through the greenhouse. What she found was certainly a surprise to her. Hands folded in front of herself she stopped and tilted her head as she watched Kakyuu.

"That is quite amazing."

At the words, Kakyuu looked up, then turned to face the person who spoke to her. Her grip on the English language and its vocabulary was...spotty at best. But she smiled, nevertheless, even though she did not fully understand what was being said to her and knelt her head down.

"Io̧kwe."

Light purple eyes blinked at Kakyuu in response when she spoke. Dany was familiar with many languages, well, they Romance languages anyway. She gave an apologetic smile and a slight shake of her head.

"I am sorry, I do not understand."

Oh, She knew those words. No one ever understood her when she spoke her native language. So she would have to rely on her English. All she had to remember was to say her name, right? She didn't have to follow it with the requisite greeting of "fuck you" unless they were shouting or talking in a room with many people in it.

"I am Kakyuu."

And this, she bowed again.

Oh! She does speak English at the least. Dany smiles and can't help but give a polite little bow in return. Somehow it only seemed right.

"I am Daenerys Targaryen, but you may call me Dany. It is easier to say."

"Io̧kwe, Daenerys Targaryen." Kakyuu smiled. "I...I am plessed to meet you."
