This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

[ A short-lived one, to be sure. ] Will you be finished with this game of yours, soon?

"It seems I did put on a little too much perfume today." Yukari idly twisted the handle of the parasol this way and that as she listened. She even made a show of looking around her at the ground to the sides to acknowledge some of that evidence.

"Did you consider the possibility that I was here before the snow arrived?" Another twist of the parasol, as if suggesting that the cover is why there is no snow on her, which could disprove that alternate theory.

"No." Katt said bluntly. She wish she had more time to become familiar with snow. She couldn't refute anything this girl had to say about it.

It was no surprise that, judging by how fast she was going, Celes was indeed able to get the nurse and head back over there. Admittedly, though, she was quite impressed that the girl was able to move at all...even if it was less than ten feet. "I did say I would be back." the young gambler turns to the nurse and nods, as if to say 'yes, that's the moron that fell'.

After a final glance back and a big smile, Celes leaves Katt with the words "You should be in good hands now...try not to do anything stupid, despite how hard that may be for you." and is on her merry way.

Not being one to accept that kind of an answer, Celes will indeed do her best to rope her into it. "Are you sure?" she says with a smile, placing her deck of cards on the table and steepling her hands together. "I'll even let you pick the game."

Katt raised the clawed finger pointedly. Something in her gut told her that this woman the one responsible, and nothing silly like LOGIC was going to persuade her otherwise.

"I still know you did it!" She exclaimed. "You're just tryin' to confuse me!"

That would be irresponsible, Yukari. Someone has to work while you're hibernating.

The woman doesn't budge an inch, figuratively or literally. "Guilt cannot be implied on faith alone.

"Tell me, what were you doing out here in the first place?" Like she didn't know.

Katt crossed her arms and glowered. She was right that she couldn't prove it just on her suspicion, but a part of her knew. Or was (un)reasonably sure, at least. So, if this woman was going to be difficult, then so could see.

"Why should I tell you? Why do you care??"

"Call it 'curiosity'," the woman said with that same coy smile. "You might know a thing or two about that."

"I suppose. The nuns would sometimes say it about me when I got into trouble." Katt replied honestly, a smirk forming on her face. "But the one I liked the most is one the villagers would say about me 'Someone who rides a tiger is afraid to get off.'"

...oh, now there is a smile she will hide behind a fan. It's unfair to dangle low-hanging fruit like that in front of Yukari. "What an enticing idiom."

That was bad and Yukari should feel bad but, of course, she doesn't.
