This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

You let others walk all over you in the name of being nice, don't you? You seem like the type to be a doormat and never stand up for yourself. Pathetic.

[Well, well, what a pleasant surprise. Dio smiled, though it was as false as all of his other niceness.]

Two years now, really? What good fortune that we met then. Your offer of guidance is appreciated.

[Natsu had only ever been exposed to handful of other mutants and having learned that every resident he would meet from the point on would be different, just like him, was a rather thrilling thought. Without taking a second to consider how forward he might have sounded, Natsu blurts out the first question that popped into his mind, his attention fixed on Lee for the moment.]

Really!? What can you do?

You make it very easy to do so.

If I find out what room you are in, we'll see how hot you like it. I don't need to be there with you.

Ah, but hey! You lived! That makes you stronger than you were before, right?

[Lee laughs now. He's encountered many students that were curious and since his powers were often not left to explanation, he decided to go with it.]

I can heal rapidly and I can become invisible. It's not much, really.

[He's not going to tell that his aging stopped when he turned 27 and he's pushing 50 now.]

No I don't. I simply like keeping everyone pleased! Whenever everybody is pleased, I feel at ease with myself.

[Venom actually smiled back, though it was partially hidden by his hair. He put his book in his bag and slung it over his shoulder. All those negative thoughts about the school, his foster family, and society in general were gone. So were the few positive thoughts.

There was only Dio now.]

Then let's get started.

Oh! That's an interesting way to look at it! [His stomach protests loudly, only to be met with a long, strained groan.] ...I think the getting stronger part happens later though.

You're still a doormat, then, and more pathetic than I originally thought. [A sneer came to Dio's face. He knew better than to start a physical fight with one of the staff, though, but wouldn't stop him from being verbally cruel.]

[And everything went smoother than expected. Dio had been given a gift and far be it from him to waste any opportunity to exploit it. He stood up and tucked his book under one arm.]

[If Lee had thought this simple explanation wasn't all that impressive, the expression of disbelief alone would have proven him wrong.]

[Kicking ass was a serious understatement. He is a lot more than just a teacher. He's also the X-Men's spy and infiltration operative. His skills are many and explaining all of that often made others feel second rate.]

I hadn't really thought of that. I teach music here and it happens to be one of my passions.

Part of him was even on the brink of asking the teacher to try going a few rounds but, a more pressing question popped into Natsu's mind. One he felt required an immediate answer above all others--]

[Lee lifts his finger with a chuckle.]

[Fighting with Lee has been a challenge for many, even the X-Men. He certainly isn't an easy opponent. His brother, who isn't here on the campus, is far worse and merciless.]

[Well, one could hardly keep themselves from laughing when picturing a bunch of floating instruments playing themselves as an entire classroom flipped their shit. It was highly amusing for Natsu, anyway.]

Heheh... This place sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun already.
