This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

That's only because it's the surface stuff I've been nabbing. But if that's as easy to grab as it's been the stuff below it likely isn't that hard to get into either. And I'm not the only telepath around.

[She sighs and focuses on him, digging deeper than just the surface if she can. She can tell he's trying to not think but that's the problem. Trying not to think still end up with one thinking.]

[Even his deeper thoughts are pretty basic. He hopes that his mother is okay without him, he worries that without him she won't be able to make ends meet or that neighbors will find out she has a mutant son and run her out of town. He worries that Gaius will fall ill and no one will know how to contact him to tell him. He worries that Arthur and Gwen and Lance and Morgana and everyone will hate him for being a mutant. He worries a lot about how people perceive mutants.]

[Jimmy grew a little restless staying inside for extended periods of time, but the cool weather wasn't something he'd grown entirely used to yet. Still, a nice thermal pullover seemed to help him beat the cold back fairly easily. And now he could practice in comfort. He put some distance between him and the school before extending his claws.

He still had a bit of difficulty doing that as he was still getting used to them, but practicing with them was a must. He did it quite often, as was evident by all of the deep claw marks he left in the trees in the surrounding area.]
