This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before applying, and to see if things "click". Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

"Oh?" He leaned to examine the book cover. "And yet, the adventures you read about often feature daring feats that test the body's abilities, and duels to the death on a grand scale. Adventures like that, in our world, do not have to remain solely on the page, mein freunde."

He stood, rubbing his chin for a moment. "Perhaps... you may suggest how I can change my approach, then? You are a difficult student to gauge, I must admit, and I would hate to bore you with my antics. So please, what would be better?"

Not having to be in this class and leaving me alone would be a good start. Venom wasn't sure how to voice his opinion without landing himself in detention. He didn't like sports or any physical activity outside of flying and the occasional game of billiards. But he needed them in order to maintain what was otherwise an impressive GPA.

"Because I prefer using my imagination. I seem to have more freedom that way."

"Hmm..." Kurt tapped his chin. "Freedom of the mind is difficult to beat. But, I fear, we do not live in the realm of the mind."

A long finger wedged itself in-between the pages, holding the boy's place as he gently pulled the book away. "So, now, we must act accordingly. Tell me, how would you approach getting your book back from me? I am the aggressor here, and I have taken your property."

Venom just stared at him with a 'you just took my book' glare on his face. Kurt was clearly challenging him to see how he'd act if such a situation arose, but all he could think about was when he was constantly picked on while in foster care. His 'siblings' would do the same to him, and back then, he had no real way to fight back. Now he did. His eyes began to glow yellow, as did his mouth. Soon, his wings were lined with the same energy.

"I suggest you give it back."
