This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

Though it was hard to make things like that believable when he was needing to be helped to Dr. McCoy's office. He never really knew how to feel about the worries his co-workers and students had for him. An odd mix of pity and concern... It was a bit frustrating on some levels, but also relieving to know that so many would drop what they were doing to help someone in need.

Kenzi wasn't normally the type of girl brag about her abilities. Braggarts only bragged because they truly lacked the power the claimed. Plus they usually didn't have the balls to go through with anything.

But she could make an exception for this girl.

She continued to hover where she had stopped and let out a laugh. "I have no reason to apologize for something that wasn't even my damn fault. The stuck up little rich princess brat needs to acknowledge she's in the wrong before she regrets ever accusing me and apologize for even making such a stupid accusation in the first place. Or did you ever wonder what it was like to take a little flight without any safety gear?"

Feel free to telekinetic her however you want. She deserves it XD;

That plate in her hand... is now spinning right for Kenzi's head. She clearly knew how to throw plates.

Ayaka herself is soon following behind the projectile, obviously intending to attack further.

Oh god, plate at head! Oh wait, that wasn't a problem. Kenzi's eyes flashed a bright blue and the plate explodes against what appeared to be a solid, although shimmery, wall made of the same same colour. She was glad that actually worked, half the time her shields didn't seem to want to work.

She'd been pretty well distracted by the plate that she didn't realize Ayaka was as close as she was. She attempted a shift to the right, hoping to get out of reach before the girl got her hands on her.

Unfortunately, while Kenzi was quite correct in that Ayaka was something of a rich princess brat... she didn't know that Ayaka happened to be trained in quite a number of martial arts forms. Quite the terrible combination.

The former yakuza enforcer leapt a little into the air, spinning to follow Kenzi's movement as she attempted to catch her opponent in the stomach with her left foot.

Aschka wasn't entirely happy about being at the Institute. Especially given how far away from the ocean she was. She missed her home. She missed being able to just run from her house at any time of day and jump into welcoming waters of the ocean. She missed the salty air. She missed the sea life.

She missed it all.

It made her miserable to think about her home.

Not even swimming around in the lake on school grounds made her feel any better. Sure, the water was comforting but it wasn't the same. It was fresh water. It tasted wrong. It felt wrong. Not to mention it was cold. The waters near her home were never cold.

Anyone to come down by the lake would find a pile of clothing near the water's edge. But don't worry, Aschka was wearing a swimsuit. The splashing in the water would make it clear that the clothing's owner was still around.
