This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the game opens, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info.

She jumped a bit, turning around and just about planting herself firmly into the mud around the lake. But once she realizes there is no need to freak out, she smiles brightly, "Like what?" She tilts her head to the side, She really wanted to know!

"Okuu, did you kill a pigeon? It would've been better to bring me an already dead one..." But no matter, she technically did what Orin asked. SO.

"Okay okay, fine, it'll work." She holds out her hands and concentrates on the energy of the recently deceased pigeon, and suddenly it stands back up, and begins flying around with its now soulless eyes.

Orin makes friends with everyone okay. :3

Oh, that was actually kind of amusing. Now there were three little things running around. But of course...

"I was just practicing." She knew Yamame was around somewhere, and she looked up and around to find her.

[diseasing]

Yamame waved when Orin caught sight of her, swinging her feet as she smiled. "Practicing is a lot more fun if you make a game out of it, though, right? Don't let me catch you, or you'll be 'it.'"

Kisume frowns a little bit and nods a bit. She was hoping it had gone this way. She shakes her head after a moment and smiles again, "What was that? That was really neat!"

She looks like she's forgotten about that ball. Yes, they startled her but they looked really interesting!

[romancing]

Koishi just stands there, shuffling her feet in some silent tune.

"Mmmmaybe some horrible tentacled lake monster that eats people!"

She's quiet for a moment, mulling over the idea. Just cupping her hand and bringing the water up and then dropping it a few times.

A smile crosses her face as she nods along to it. She likes the idea of that and kicks off her shoes and starts into the water.

"I wanna find out! If there is stuff like that down there, I wanna collect it."

[diseasing]

Yamame doesn't stop her. In fact, she pulls her hand back and begins to peel off her own socks and shoes as well.

"Okay, but be careful. We don't want you to be sunk to the bottom of the lake, do we?"

She starts to wade in after her, but stops before the water has even reached her knees. A few of the spiders resting on her legs beneath her skirt scramble farther up.

"I didn't mean to, but I fell." ...good job, Okuu.

Once relieved of the pigeon, Utsuho leans over a bit to get a better look--then straightens up with an "aha!" noise as the bird starts to fly.

She refrains from clapping her hands like a trained seal, though. She wasn't a seal.

[ Yuui's smile could probably blind people by now. He's been missing Florence something awful even though he's very happy to be reunited with his brother and meeting someone who was born there is like heaven to him. ] 

I lived there for about three years studying music. I only came back here because of... you know. [ You know... mutant powers and all that. ]

She looks back at the lake, trying to peer into the depths again. She kicks off her shoes and moves towards the water.

"You really think so? Wouldn't they told us of that?"

She's heading into the water to find out!

Kisume just laughs as she heads in happily. She makes it as far as her waist before twirling around in the water, looking almost as at home as she was in a small place.

"I'll be careful. Besides, What could sink me?"

[diseasing]

Yamame wades in up to her knees before stopping, the hem of her skirt brushing the water.

"You never know! There could be snakes or other things that bite. In any case, it wouldn't be any fun if you slipped and fell in face first."

[Soren can be seen sitting at a chess set in one of the dorm common areas. None of the pieces have been moved or anything like that, and he looks like he's about to start playing against himself]

Yes, I know I'm late to this but is it okay to continue?

Kisume pauses for a moment then shakes her head, "I'll bite them back!"

And she would too, just to prove her point...and probably save it for later. She still preferred her way of getting food! Although she does stop and peer into the depths once more. She dunks herself under the water to try and get a better look and comes up a short moment later, a thoughtful look on her face. She turns back and frowns a bit.

"I dunno about falling..but how deep is this?"

[diseasing]

"Well, it's a lake. Those are pretty deep, aren't they?" She shrugs. "Really, though, I'm just teasing! I wouldn't just let you drown, even if you slipped and hit your head on a rock or something, so there's probably nothing to worry about."

"I dunno. There was that one in the forest that was not very deep..."

She's starting to rethink this idea, if only for the fact she knows she can't go under the water for too long. And if it was really deep...

"If it's deep the bones and stuff will be hard to get. Maybe...One day I can pick all the water up and we can go looking without worry."

She stares at the middle for a moment before heading back to her slowly. She doesn't seem too upset though.

"Thank you. We gotta stick together right?"
