This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

List of things the students at Xavier's Institute Are No Longer Allowed To Do:

1. Must not refer to Princeple Summers as "Mom"
2. Synchronized Macarena is not an acceptable breakfast activity
3. Not allowed to add “In accordance with the prophesy” to the end of answers I give to a question a teacher asks me.
4. "My platypus ate it" may not be used as an excuse for not turning in my homework

[ She's sitting on a windowsill in the recreation room, a sketchbook propped against her knee. She likes art, is one of the few classes she bothers paying attention to. And it's not exactly a group activity so it makes her lack of friends, or any kind of social life for that matter, less noticeable.

On the paper in front of her, she's already sketched out a caricature of Principle Summers and is now working on another one of 'Bad Girl'. She wonders what would happen if she were to turn this is as her art assignment. Probably nothing good. Still... it could be worth it. ]

Hang out? Sure! I haven't really explored all of the grounds and facilities yet.

I'm Matsukaze Tenma. Everyone just calls me Tenma.

I'm actually from this state! Bronxville, in fact. It's south of here.

Yeah, definitely not in the maze... [She got lost in that thing on her first day...]

[ She hadn't noticed him when he came into the room or, which was a lot more frightening, when he came up to stand behind her, her pencil making a dark streak across the page as her arm jumps in fright. How had he gotten this close? How had she let him get this close?

She turns her head. Stares at him. The silence between them stretching out for what feels like forever. Why is he talking to her? What does he want? Finally she shrugs and drops her gaze. ]
