This is for anyone wanting to test out their characters in the setting before the applications open, see what clicks. Multiples will be allowed for this post, and you can generally assume any threads are a self-contained continuity unless you feel like getting creative.

Just post a thread with your CHARACTER NAME and CANON NAME in the title with a prompt and others will reply. Prompts and threads can be action spam or prose or whatever. These threads can be used on the sample section of your application, as well. Go out and have fun! Feel free to consult the institute tour and dorm guide for setting info. We also encourage you to check out the "!!event" tag on the IC comms to brush up on the story so far.

[He's been staring at the network for hours now trying to figure out what to post. Sure he could go with actual words but where's the mother fuckin' fun in that? No mother fuckers he's going with .gifs. And you know what? Everyone that doesn't like it can very well move along and get the fuck over it. This is how he rolls.]

[ACTION]
[Somewhere on campus, where? Does it really matter where? He's on campus. Oh fine, okay. We'll say he's currently chilling in the student lounge. The television is on but he's not really paying any attention to it. No, his attention is on anyone else around him. And honestly? Kurloz doesn't really stand out. He's pretty normal looking really, although those purple eyes of his and pointed ears do out him as a mutant. But in a school like this? He's pretty mother fuckin' normal.

So yeah. Kurloz is just sitting there in one of the armchairs watching those around him. Trying to figure people out before he talks...haha talking right. Kurloz doesn't talk. If he did anyone in the vicinity would end up deaf and possibly suffering from brain bleed. So no, no words slip past Kurloz's lips. But we could go with he's watching everyone, trying to figure them out before he bothers them. Yeah, that works.

Or you know, you could bother him first.

That cheetah's got some moves, dude. Though it does beg the question of who uploaded that to the internet after they got eaten violently. You think maybe it was the cheetah? Yeah, it was probably the cheetah.

[If you were looking for an actual conversation Jake, this is not the post you're looking for. Although he may actually have one if Jake continues to talk. But for now, more .gifs.]

[Okay no actual conversation then. This can work. Although sometimes Kurloz ends up sitting at the computer trying to figure out exactly how to respond. This is one of those cases.]

[ Hmm...what a curious decision to add to the network. Aradia isn't really sure if it's meant to strike up a conversation or if she's simply supposed to respond to it in kind. In either case, she decides to do both. ]

i wonder what happened to the person with the video camera?
it seems pretty unlikely that the cheetah just walked away
and also unlikely that the people in the van didnt do something about it
i guess we will never know!

[He reads what's written but honestly doesn't care to respond with words. Although the .gif certainly got a silent chuckle out of him on his side.]

[ She decides to simply respond in kind, continuing what is most obviously the narrative of the cheetah and the unfortunate people in the caravan. She's busy giggling as well, but much more vocally. She's not sure how long she'll be able to go simply communicating in pictures, but it's pretty enjoyable for now. ]

[Works for Kurloz. He likes to see how far the .gif "conversation" can go.]
