It doesn't take long for him to recover mainly because, despite the sassiness packed into his small frame, being elbowed by Feliks is more shocking for its chutzpah and the sudden sting than debilitating. Still, it's opened up a cut. Bad news.

But as the first haymaker comes screaming in (watching MMA highlights and shadowboxing while Bodies by Drowning Pool having not really improved his punching technique), Utena decides to forgo a reply and slides in between them. Her hands are up immediately, palms spread to catch the interior of the punching arm. It's not enough to stop all the momentum though, and she catches a glancing blow across the nose. Fortunately she now has the interior grip though, and she puts it to good use, pivoting on her feet to shove him into wall hard enough to crack the back of his skull and leave him dizzy.

The rest of the pack has jumped into action now though, and Utena's drawing the wooden sword concealed in her hoodie. She has to spare a glance back at him, to make sure he's OK, at the cost of a kick in the stomach which sends her stumbling back two steps.

Fortunately she's just met a mutant who can do something with that sword...
